Our Innovative Approach

Research proves that intentional nutritional strategies can dramatically improve health symptoms. While a western model relies on medication to manage and mask symptoms, we acknowledge evidence that shows us that this might not always be the best for long-term health.

Our patient care model is based upon a root-cause, nutrition first approach. Your root-cause treatment plan is individually tailored for your needs using the most irrefutable evidence: your advanced functional lab testing results.

Unlike general blood work, which is primarily used to monitor disease progression alone, we use advanced biometrics to help you understand the deeper issues that cause health symptoms.

Instead of throwing pharmaceuticals at your health symptoms, we work as a team of advanced practitioners to bring maximum resolution to your symptoms. We thoroughly explain what is contributing to symptoms on a cellular level.

Evidence and analysis are the foundation of our nutrition-first approach. We don’t diagnose or prescribe, but instead view your health through a data-driven lens. We take this approach because the name of a condition does not define your individualistic needs as well as a biometric-based investigation.

What Research Shows:

71.9%

of doctor visits in the United States result in a prescription drug being prescribed, leading to over 1 billion prescriptions being filled by US pharmacies each year.

Nutrition Should Be The Foundation

Nutrition is the crucial factor that plays a significant role in our overall health and well-being. Extensive research demonstrates that unhealthy eating habits and poor dietary choices significantly contribute to the incidence of numerous chronic diseases and health conditions. In addition, research also proves the efficacy of intentional nutritional strategies on chronic health conditions.

Medical professionals who have received education from renowned institutions are given minimal instruction in nutrition, as compared to extensive training in pharmacology, amounting to over 500 hours. On average, medical schools in the U.S. provide only 19.6 hours of nutrition education during the four-year course of medical studies. Consequently, the majority of doctors do not feel they possess adequate knowledge to provide nutritional recommendations, and a mere 6 percent of typical physician appointments address issues related to diet and nutrition. More research has revealed that despite the well-established correlation between poor dietary choices and a range of preventable diseases, merely 20% of medical schools in the United States require their students to undertake a nutrition course. Consequently, 71.9% of doctor's visits in the United States result in a prescription drug being prescribed, leading to over 1 billion prescriptions being filled by US pharmacies each year.

At Kale Diagnostics, we are dedicated to helping you achieve optimal health and longevity by focusing on the cornerstone of good health - nutrition. Our primary aim is to alleviate your symptoms, and in doing so, minimize the need for medications. By prioritizing your nutritional health, we strive to prevent and minimize your reliance on medications, thereby enhancing your overall well-being.

Functional Lab Testing

Functional lab testing can play a crucial role in identifying underlying causes of health issues and developing personalized treatment plans that address the root causes of chronic diseases. Research has shown that functional lab testing can be highly effective in identifying nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities, hormonal imbalances, and many other underlying factors that contribute to health issues. For example, the Dutch test, a type of functional lab testing that we include in our program, can measure levels of androgens, estrogens, progesterone, and cortisol throughout the day, providing a more comprehensive understanding of hormone imbalances in women with PCOS.

We believe in using data and science to create a personalized approach to optimizing your health. Our use of accurate and detailed lab results enables us to gain a clear understanding of your health status and develop a tailored plan of action to meet your specific needs and goals. Additionally, our program includes the cost of lab testing, which typically ranges from $1k to $4k in value. By offering this service as part of our program, we make it a more affordable option than purchasing individual lab tests at retail pricing. This helps to eliminate financial barriers and ensures that our patients have access to advanced diagnostic testing to optimize their health.

Comprehensive 1:1 Support

The mainstream medical approach centers on delivering a quick-fix solution to patients' issues and expeditiously completing their appointments (typically, the average primary care doctor in the US only spends 20 minutes per patient per year), rather than adopting a comprehensive approach to identify the underlying cause of the problem, which necessitates more time.

The lack of time provided in a traditional care model prevents patients from being able to access a truly comprehensive health approach. This is a night and day experience that our patients experience at Kale Diagnostics, with hours of practitioner support being dedicated to the complexities of an individual’s symptoms and lab-result specific nutritional needs.

Essential Education

When you work with Kale Diagnostics, you receive extensive education that will serve as a core foundation for your wellness success. This is typically accomplished through live or recorded educational training and handouts that you will have access to throughout our time together.

Sarah is an experienced nutritional practitioner with education from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Nutritional Therapy Association, and a masters in nutrition and functional medicine from University of Western States. Her passion lies in rebalancing the microbiome & supporting healthy hormonal cycles. Whether you're dealing with hormonal imbalances, PCOS, post-birth control use, IBS, food sensitivities, thyroid imbalances, or other health issues, Sarah believes that these can all be addressed by improving the diet, stress management, targeted supplementation, and strengthening the gut microbiome. Sarah's personal journey led her to overcome various health problems, including acne, bloat, PMS, PCOS, fatigue, and headaches. Despite receiving no substantial support from specialists who only offered medication with side effects, Sarah was determined to find the root cause of her struggles. Rejecting the quick-fix approach of medications and surgery, she utilized functional testing to uncover the underlying issues. For her, and for many others, functional testing was the first step in uncovering the root cause of her issues. Utilizing the data from the labs to create specialized care, bio individual nutritional changes, and supporting the foundations of the body was a methodical approach that helped her heal herself, and now she wants to help others do the same. Today, Sarah is committed to assisting individuals in finding answers to their health struggles, just as she has done for herself and many others. Her expertise lies in improving gut health and hormonal imbalances through functional testing and targeted nutritional support. Sarah is passionate about alleviating discomforting symptoms and providing the support that the conventional health care model could not. She is dedicated to helping her clients achieve optimal health and wellness by identifying the root causes of their health issues and creating personalized nutrition plans that support their body's natural healing process.

Kale Diagnostics can directly accept HSA and FSA payment. We are not in-network with any health insurance providers, so we do not accept insurance directly, but we are able to facilitate health insurance reimbursement at no additional cost.

HSA, FSA, and Insurance

01

Do you accept insurance, HSA, or FSA?

Kale Diagnostics can directly accept HSA and FSA payment for full coverage. We are not in-network with any health insurance providers, so we do not accept insurance directly, but we are able to facilitate health insurance reimbursement at no additional cost. Many of our clients get partial reimbursement from insurance. Plans start at $249 monthly, which includes practitioner support and all functional lab test fees.

02

What is the basis for the cost of your services?

Kale Diagnostics provides a comprehensive approach to your health, including lab tests and fees, private support from trained nutritional practitioners, and extensive education at each level of support offered. While our program might require a more committed investment, we are also providing extensive support from a well-rounded team. Many of our clients have shared that their time with us was a turning point that allowed them to spend less on their long-term health. Fortunately, HSA and FSA, or an insurance superbill, can often reduce the cost of our services.

03

What results can I expect to see when working with Kale Diagnostics?

For some, their journey with Kale Diagnostics is a 180-degree, life-changing experience that provides relief from a laundry list of symptoms and years of struggle. For others, we are a helpful stop in their continued journey. The majority of our clients (83%) do see symptom reduction within the first three months, and while we cannot guarantee results, we are always committed to providing the very best and most comprehensive care.

04

Do you diagnose or treat?

No, we do not diagnose or treat diseases, but you can work with us if you have one or multiple conditions, and we can share alternative treatment options that can be approved by your doctor. It’s important to note that Kale Diagnostics is not intended to replace an individual relationship with a qualified healthcare professional and is not intended as medical advice. Kale Diagnostics encourages you to continue visiting and being treated by your primary care physician or healthcare provider.

05

How does my relationship with my doctor play into my work with Kale Diagnostics?

We encourage you to meet regularly with your doctor, and if needed, we can provide resources that support your doctor-patient relationship while you work with the Kale Diagnostics team to support your desired health outcomes.
